Qualifications

Must know or be certified in the following

  • Climbing (two points contact whiling cutting, good communications skills while climbing)
  • Knots
  • Work zone setup and JSA
  • Cuts (stump, face, back hinge)
  • Safety of all gear (chainsaw, handsaw, ropes, spikes, belts)
  • Rigging
  • Crew management
  • First aid CPR
  • EHAP (aerial rescue)
  • Chainsaw safety and maintenance (two hands on chainsaw)
  • Tree biology
  • Bucket truck rescue
  • Drop / work zone safety
  • Must have a good attitude and willing to learn additional skills
  • Good Safety attitude
